How I Feel About Swear Words

If you are what you eat, then from what is in your heart you speak.

"Garbage in, garbage out."

Share and Feel the True Spirit of Christmas

Con, most definitely!

As a teacher I once had told the class, "People who have to result to using swear words to get their point across are showing their lacking a mastery of the English language, and a poor vocabulary."

If you feed your mind on rotten things, rottenness will come out your mouth.

There are so many things they could say, using effective terms, and descriptive words, that would be more than sufficient to get their point across, without using even one "swear word."

For example, in the Bible, there are times when the term, "dungy" has been used. This more sanitary term in most cases would be more direct, and very expressive, and even may cause the verbal opponent to stop and take pause.

"A good man brings forth good out of the good treasure of his heart, but a wicked man brings forth what is wicked out of his wicked [treasure]; for out of the heart’s abundance his mouth speaks." - Luke 6:45 (NW)

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."- Luke 6:45 - King James Version

"The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." - Luke 6:45 - American Standard Version (1901)

While many use the "f word," they are degrading a gift from our Creator, a process that is essential to the survival of the human race, a process that is part of a very important and special part of what should only be participated in by two people who are married, and who share a deep and abiding love.

Why degrade such a wonderful and loving part of procreation. Why do many seem to think of this as recreation?
